PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE JUST GIVE THIS SOME THOUGHT AND HAVE A LOOK SEE.
Hey tumblr users, are any of you in Olympia, Washington? So tomorrow, which is the 7th of June from 7:15AM - 7:45AM, they (Westboro Baptist Church) will be protesting against gay rights in front of Olympia High School, Capital High School, and the Auditor’s Office. But ofcourse, there will be counter protests and such.
The School District is allowing us to counter protest but asks us to not have any OFFENSIVE signs so that means we can’t call them bigots, haters, etc. from the students and those against Westboro.
But I personally want to protest, not against Westboro itself (yeah I totally do, but I want to respect the District’s wishes), but protest against their intolerance. I would like to ask Olympia tumblr users if they’d come down and protest with me. I want to protest, not just because I’m a bisexual, but for my dear friend, Aeary Allistair Ghalleger who committed suicide due to this kind of intolerance. Would you like to protest with me? The address for Capital High School is 2707 Conger Ave NW, Olympia, WA 98502.

Yeah, the signs are a little messy but that isn’t my main concern.
Let me just clarify some things:
Washington is a GREAT place. Its one of the few safe places for homosexuals, bisexuals, transgenders, etc. My signs are to address general intolerance everywhere.
What I mean by “If we can’t have our right to love, give us the right to live.” is that Aeary, and ofcourse other kids, were bullied and even if the authorities were informed, LITTLE to NOTHING was done in certain cases. Hell, remember that doctor in NJ who refused a man his HIV medication because he was gay?
So please, just come down and show support or reblog this to see if any one else is interested.
But be warned, Westboro has this douche habit of announcing they’re going to protest and then never showing up.
